Message list doesn't remember column widths after relaunch

When I quit and relaunch MailMate (2.0 beta, 6146; but this also applies to 1.x), the app keeps the columns that I configured it to display, but changes their widths to some default value that doesn't work for me. So I have to readjust the column widths after each relaunch.
Shouldn't the column widths be saved properly along with the columns state?

I should specify that this applies to the combined inbox. The behaviour for other inboxes appears to be different.

Fyi this is still an issue today.
Here's a related video to demonstrate the issue, while switching the "Layout" the column width gets reset:
