Option to make the offline sources status more visible
Reported by Felipe Turcheti | March 1st, 2016 @ 01:52 AM
I barely notice when one of my sources go offline. Sometimes I figure this out a day after, when I receive emails from hours before or when I check my emails from another device.
To prevent this, it could be useful to have an option (a hidden preference?) to set the offline sources status more visible (maybe display them in red). And we could have notifications when sources go offline and online.

I've added a red color to offline accounts. Accounts are not supposed to go offline without showing some kind of warning to the user which means that I'm also interested in reports about this. Especially if it happens regularly.
I've found an issue with Gmail/Outlook authentication using OAuth2 for which an account could go offline under certain circumstances, but there might be other issues.
You can get the latest test release now: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane. If your accounts still go unexpectedly offline then let me know.

Thanks, Benny.
Now that the sources shout out loud when they're offline, I can track this issue closely. I'll report to you if I get offline accounts.
