Mail import

Reported by Rob Morrison | January 7th, 2014 @ 10:12 AM

Hello,

I recently bought a new macbook and restored from Time Machine. However, there are a lot of emails that haven't been updated.. Is there a manual way that I can refresh/ reload all mail through Mailmate directly?

Thanks for you help,
R

MailMate is IMAP only and should always automatically try to synchronize with the IMAP server -- if messages are missing in your backup then they'll be fetched from the server.

In other words, I'm not sure what you mean by “haven't been updated”.

    Hi Benny,

My inbox is missing quite a lot of emails.. I'm wondering if there is a function in Mailmate that allows you to force it fetch the emails from the server? It hasn't done it automatically...

    Cheers

Look under SOURCES in the mailbox outline. Is the INBOX written with a bold font? This means that MailMate believes the mailbox is online and fully synchronized.

If no, then try right-clicking the mailbox and select “Synchronize”.

If yes, then try opening a Terminal window and paste this line:

defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmEnableIMAPCondstore -bool NO

Then restart MailMate and let me know if it makes a difference.
