Mail going into Junk

Reported by Rob Morrison | April 15th, 2013 @ 04:12 PM

Hi,

Since switching to MailMate (which otherwise has been GREAT) a lot of the mail i send seems to be ending up in people's junk mail folders. Is this an issue with client, hosting, or receiver?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,
R

The recipient controls any junk filtering, either on the server (like Gmails automatic junk detection) or the email client (like MailMate with SpamSieve).

One could imagine spam filters which for some reason reacts on some aspect of a MailMate email, but I kind of doubt that. The emails generated by MailMate are about as standard as emails can be.

We might be able to analyze the problem if you can get one of these messages (after arrival) and show me the headers. They might contain hints with respect to what triggered the junk status.

You can also test by sending a message from both Apple Mail (or some other client) and MailMate with the same content (if you manage to reproduce the issue with a particular message/recipient).
