Big Sur test release 1.14 → Message View (custom css) // Event creation in Fantastical

Reported by Andreas | May 6th, 2021 @ 11:13 AM

Dear

I used a darker color for the message view and used a long time a custom stylesheet in "/Users/omh/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/MmMessagesWebView" but this seems not to work in this Big Sur version.

Also the calendar bundles for MacOS iCal / Fantastical doesn't work anymore.

    The handling of stylesheets has changed (and is still changing). You can try moving it to this file:

    ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/main.css

    Currently, there are also headers.css, details.css and raw.css for other parts of the GUI.

    I haven't changed the calendar bundles, but it's not unlikely that an OS change might have broken them. I'll look into it.

    Sorry, there was a general issue with calendar bundles, but it's fixed in the most recent test releases.

    Great to hear :-)

    But the download of the BigSur Release is the one from May, 14th: Version 1.14 (5807)
    When is the download available?

    Thanks
    Andreas

    @benny,

    The custom css file at ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/main.css doesn't appear to apply to the HTML part of messages, only the text part. When I open the text part of a message, then view the "HTML source" view (⌘⌃u) I can see that my custom mail.css is included in the presentation. If I look at the source of the HTML part, this file is not included.

    How do I customize the HTML part of messages?

    @Quinn: It's currently completely hardcoded since I haven't decided how it should work. It might just be a file named html.css (at least as a quick fix), but this is also related to how to handle/invert emails with a white background in dark mode.
