Saving large number of attachments crashes mailmate.

I'm cleaning up my old email addresses for prior businesses
where my account has been deleted. I am saving the attachments to a
folder in my mac documents folder. There are a large number of
attachments. The account is offline. I've attached the apple
diagnostic file.

It could be an issue where MailMate runs out of address space. Is it reproducible with the same message?
If it is then you can launch MailMate from a Terminal and there might be an error message before the crash. The following line can be pasted in a Terminal window to do this:
/Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate
