feature requests: more buttons, folder shortcuts, message header font size control
Reported by Anthony Townsend | November 6th, 2014 @ 04:01 PM
evaluating switching over from Apple Mail and finding a couple of frustrating omissions from MailMate
1) wish there were more buttons available to customize the compose window bar - e.g. Attach File, etc.
2) is there a faster way to move messages to a folder? drag/drop, contextual menu, etc. all rather klunky -why not map tags to Gmail folders?
3) font size changes do not seem to persist for message header text box.

I'll note a request for an “Attach” button (Personally, I use copy/paste or drag'n'drop to the main text field). Others buttons you would like to request?

Try the shortcut for “Message ▸ Move to Mailbox” (⌥⌘T) if this is not one of the “klunky” ones. It is possible to map Gmail labels to tags in the Tags preferences pane. I haven't gotten much feedback about how well this feature works, but it's described here.

I've planned for a long time to replace the message header view, but I keep postponing it. The only way to change its font size is a hidden preference described here.
Thanks for trying out MailMate.

(combining 1 and 2) Apple Mail's "Move" button with the drop down list is very very useful to me.
