Disable Thread View universally?

Is it possible to disable the Thread View across all accounts and folders? I don't use threading and don't like it much, so would prefer to disable it universally. I've checked the hidden preferences documentation, but don't see an option.
If it's not currently possible, please add as a Feature Request.

I'd forgotten I opened this ticket. Is this something you might provide as an option?

It already exists:
defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmForcedThreadingType -string "flatThreading"
(I'll close the ticket although I know the real fix is a complete rewrite of the message list and how its threading works and can be configured.)
