Smart folder gets updated very late

I have a smart folder with a very simple setup: It contains all messages from 3 accounts' inboxes that do not have the keyword "seen". This works in general, but when new messages appear in those inboxes, they sometimes (sorry, no pattern recognizable) do not show up in the smart folder immediately but much later.

    Could later be the same as after a restart of MailMate? Or does it happen after some delay?

    Yes, sometimes they appear immediately and then some only appear after some time. It does not seem to be after a restart - in fact I do not restart MailMate during the day, it just runs from morning to evening.

    One more thing that may help: I have to smart folders with a similar setup. One lists all unread mails from just one inbox, the other the unread mails from 3 other inboxes. The problem only occurs with the latter smart folder, not with the one only monitoring a single inbox.
