Hi there,
I would love to use PGP for my emails and MailMate sounds like a good fit. The only thing holding me back from encrypting my emails is the fear of losing access to my archive. I still have all my mails from the last 10-or-so-years but the encrypted ones are well... no longer accessible. I know, my fault, bad key management, but that's how it goes over a long period of time with different computers, OSes, mail programs, providers, etc.
Does MailMate offer a way to use PGP but store the unencrypted version locally?
I do realize this is potential security risk (laptop gets stolen for example) but it's what I need for my usecase.
PS: Sorry for the crappy title, Lighthouse only accepted my ticket on the 3th try.

No, MailMate cannot store the raw messages unencrypted. (I've never considered that.)
MailMate does offer, optionally, to keep decrypted information in its database index files (for searching), but that is not what you are looking for here.
I'll have to put this in the
bluesky
category although I do see this could be a useful feature for some users.
