I've seen a frequent problem with MailMate crashing during search. I have a large mailbox, around 330,000 messages. If I search by "From", or "To" or "Subject" it seems to work fine with no issues. When I search "Unquoted Body Text" I've noted it crashes perhaps one out of every 4 times.

I'm running Version 1.8 (4214), on OS X 10.9.4, with 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7 and 16GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 memory

If you trigger this again with the latest test release then I can review the crash report (enable sending them in the General preferences pane). It may be a memory address space issue since 330K messages is pushing MailMate to its current limit. In that case there is also a (very) experimental 64 bit build available
