Rules and Redirect
Reported by Mark Chapman | August 18th, 2014 @ 02:42 PM
I have a number of emails that need to be automatically redirected to someone else when then come in.
Is it possible to use rules (or if necessary a smart mailbox) to redirect messages?

In the current version of MailMate (1.9.1) there is a rule for redirect.
In my case, my SMTP server will not permit redirects, I guess because it doesn't want the From address to be spoofed.
But I'd really like to have a rule-based forward (not a redirect), but this doesn't seem to be possible.
Is there a way to do it, or if not, can I request this feature for the future please.
Thanks!
Paul.

There is currently no (easy) way to do forwarding via rules, but I've got it on my list.
Could you retry redirecting with the latest beta. I fixed a bug which might have triggered some servers to reject it. (See the Software Update preferences pane.)
@Mark: Sorry for the late reply on this ticket. Does the “redirect” action solve your problem?

Thanks,

Yes, this should work. You can send me the following file if you want me to look into the rule you have configured:
~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Mailboxes.plist
