Navigating mailboxes and then pressing "space" to read a message keeps focus in mailbox list
Reported by Philip Kizer | June 23rd, 2014 @ 04:55 PM
After navigating through the mailboxes list or even just clicking on a particular folder to select the folder and then hitting "space" to read a message within that folder MailMate does not change focus to the messages list.
There are multiple unexpected results that can happen from that:
- some message-based key commands fail to operate on the currently viewed message (such as @U to mark unread)
- arrows change the mailbox rather than which message is currently viewed
Combining those, when reading through my smart mailbox that creates multiple sub-folders, if I don't remember to "tab" into the message list after selecting a mailbox, @U doesn't mark the message I just read as unread, and down-arrow changes the mailbox so that when I return to the particular sub-folder of the smart mailbox the now-read message is no longer there and I have to go find it in the actual mailbox.
For expectations, after performing folder/mailbox operations and issuing a command that then begins operating at an individual message level, I would expect the focus to change to message level/pane so that message-based commands work without requiring an explicit change of focus.
Or did I just miss an option or key binding I can set?
