Account "offline". Can't get it back online.
Reported by mrspaceman | May 9th, 2014 @ 03:26 PM
Hi Benny,
I have one gmail account, and it's been going offline a few times each day for the past few days. See screenshot. When it happens, the menu option "take online" isn't selectable. Selecting 'synchronize INBOX' has no effect. I'm able to access the account via web, or via the OS X Mail client.
(This is unrelated to a previous issue with the same account going offline due to 'too many simultaneous connections' due to my mobile client.)
I've tried quitting/launching MM, and rebooting, but haven't found a pattern for when the account goes back online.
Any ideas on how I can get the account back online when this happens? Or better, how to prevent it from happening?
.Mike

You can use “Take Online” on the accounts under SOURCES I believe. (I'm not sure why this is not also possible under the Inbox mailbox, but I'll check that.)
For debugging this issue:
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
- Wait until you have experienced the problem.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs” to send me all server logs.
Thanks in advance.
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).

Hi Benny, taking the account online via sources worked. I was traveling, so missed the chance to send you the logs. If it comes up again, I'll let you know. Probably ok to close this ticket.
