Line height in message list is too big

I'll look into the code handling this. When/if it will be fixed is going to depend on how tricky it'll be (without hardcoding sizes).
By the way: What is the font and the size used?

Yeah, I realize font measurement is really a pain. However given Mail does it right, I hope it'd be doable.
I posted the font at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1583683/Rosie.ttf (above is 12 point). It was free from somewhere years ago but the web site seems to have disappeared.

Thanks for the font. I can reproduce what you see, but despite some experimentation I have not yet found a solution which works for all fonts. And it is not just a question of row height, but also the vertical placement of the fonts. I'll have to postpone it for now, but I'll get back to it at some point.
To any viewers of this ticket: If you know any example code for setting the row height for an NSFont in an NSTableView which works at least as well as it does in Apple Mail, then I would very much like to see it.

A long time ago I added an option to control the line height delta in the “Fonts” panel (“Format ▸ Show Fonts”). This ticket was never updated. Sorry about that.
(It is still an open question how Apple Mail handles this.)

Just read this and found out about the "line height delta" in the Fonts panel. I wish more apps had that :) Thanks!
