Send and Archive while selected message is in Sent Messages

Hello,
I sometimes send a second e-mail after having already sent one (because I forgot something for instance). In order to make it appear in the same thread for the recipient, I reply to the message I sent by selecting it in the Sent Messages folder.
I generally use the Send and Archive button without even thinking about it. However, when replying to a sent message, I don't want this sent message to be placed in the Archive folder (this is the behavior today). Wouldn't it be better adapted to the workflow to make an exception and not to archive the selected message if it is in the Sent Messages folder ?
