Bug with smart mailbox count
Reported by Max Masnick | December 18th, 2013 @ 12:30 AM
I regularly see an incorrect unread count for one of my smart mailboxes. I think it might be a bug.
I'm on 3905.
Let me know if you need more info.

I'm seeing a similar behavior. My smart mailbox "unread" will be one or two different from the unread portion or my open mailbox. My situation could be somewhat unique.
I have 2 INBOX's, one for personal mail, and one for work email. Both are hosted at Google.
My work INBOX is frequently one or two more unread messages than the smart mailbox.
IF i collapse the Unread Smart mailbox (i.e. looking at all of them) then I can see the unread message that's not showing up in the specific email box.
For some reason this just started happening, even after I shut down/relaunch.I will say that due to frequent crashes, my DB could be whacky. However, I don't want to re-sync everything from scratch because it takes more than a day for MailMate to settle down. I have 326,000 email messages, and less than 100 unread at any time.
I'm running Version 1.8 (4214), on OS X 10.9.4, with 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7 and 16GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 memory

Sorry about the late response (to both of you).
I'm going to start with asking you both to update to the latest test release: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane. Then let me know if this is still an issue.
@Tim: You can rebuild without downloading, but make sure you have the latest test version since this was buggy in recent test releases. Read more here.
