Can't send email in 10.9.1
Reported by Mike Schmitz | December 17th, 2013 @ 08:01 PM
Ever since upgrading to 10.9.1, MailMate has not been able to send mail. I get an error message similar to the following (though differs slightly sometimes):
Failed connecting to host (gmail.com:465).
“error:0200203C:system library:connect:Operation timed
out” “error:2007306E:BIO routines:CONN_STATE:nbio
connect error”

I doubt it is related to 10.9.1 since that should have little effect on MailMate (for sending messages).
Note that the error says
gmail.com
. It should besmtp.gmail.com
I believe. Check your IMAP account settings (File ▸ Edit IMAP Account). -

You're correct, my settings got messed up somehow. The smtp was moved to the end of my username: "mschmitz@conovercompany.com@smtp".
Thanks!
