Possible to disable sound when a messages is sent?

Is it possible to disable this sound? I don't recall it being there in 1.6. Could it have started with the upgrade to 1.7 (3773)? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the Sent Message sound is new in the beta. You can disable it in the Composer preferences pane.
