Unable to delete draft messages

I am unable to delete any draft messages in any of my Gmail accounts from MailMate. If I login to Gmail over the web interface and delete the draft, it will then go away in my Mailmate "Drafts" folder. However, when I tried to delete them directly from the "Drafts" folder, the momentarily disappear and then reappear later.

I am using: Version 1.6 (3549). Please let me know if you need any other information.

    This is not a known issue.

    Try opening the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0) before deleting a draft. When the message has re-appeared then try finding the connection with the related activity (select a connection in the list view and you should be able to see a log in the lower part of the window). If it contains private data then you can send it privately.

    You can try updating to the latest test version: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.

    After private correspondence the conclusion was that this behavior is seen if the wrong mailbox is assigned for deleted messages. The fix is to assign “Deleted Messages” as the mailbox type of [Gmail]/Trash.

    In other words, this is essentially a Google issue although MailMate could do more to force the use of [Gmail]/Trash for deleted messages.
