Duplicates in email address autocomplete
Reported by Scott Macpherson | June 29th, 2013 @ 12:24 AM
I'm seeing the problem described in #106, where addresses in my Contacts to whom I've already sent an email appear twice in the "to" autocomplete list. MailMate version Version 1.5.4 (3323).
Has this issue reappeared, or is there something I can clean out at my end to resolve this?

First try the latest beta (see the Software Update preferences pane). If you still have the same issue then provide an example.

I've updated to build 3539, and that has indeed solved the problem. Thanks for your help once again Benny!

I have a related problem with version 1.6, build 3549. The duplicate entries I see have the same address but different comments, e.g.,
- Malte Tancred malte@domain
- Malte Tancred (malte@domain) malte@domain
- ...
The first entry comes from the address book while the others seem to be from my sent folder. Often the entry from my address book is not the first choice.
I must confess that I have a bit of a strange setup in that my inbox and sent folder are the same. Is this what makes the duplicate entries appear for me?
Anyway, in my case, it would be nice if entries from my adress book would be ranked higher, as the entries from emails I recieve are often strangely formatted and commented; it seems many email clients aren't very smart when it comes to subject and address fields, but I digress. It would also be ok if the alternate versions would not appear at all.
Thank you for a great app!
