Memory leak @ gmail
Reported by Andrew | December 27th, 2024 @ 05:45 PM
Hello,
This issue is probably related to #3410 and
https://www.mail-archive.com/mailmate%40lists.freron.com/msg17576.html
I have upgraded to the latest version of MailMate (6068) from (5XXX).It was working fine for a few days. This morning when I tried to start MailMate, but it ate huge amount of memory getting unresponsive within a few seconds and eventually getting killed by the operating system (M1, MacOS 15.2). I can see that it tries to download emails from one of the gmail accounts.
Please let me know how I can help with repro, as I cannot use MailMate at all.
Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks for letting me know.
Try this:
- Take all of your accounts offline.
- Take each account online and wait for it to fully synchronize before continuing.
- If/when an account triggers the issue then take all of its mailboxes offline (you can shift-select them and use “Mailbox > Take Offline”).
- Take mailboxes online (maybe in small batches) until you find the one triggering the issue.
At the end of this, you'll hopefully have a single mailbox in a single account triggering the issue. Let me know if this is possible. Send me an email via “Help > Send Feedback” and I'll provide further instructions.

I believe this issue might have been resolved: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update settings pane to get the latest test release (r6202).
Let me know if that is not the case.
