Menubar Notification Icon Present Even When Disabled
Reported by stuzbot | December 23rd, 2024 @ 10:50 AM
This has only started happening in the past few weeks, so I'm not sure if there's been a MailMate update during that time, which has caused it, or even a MacOS update but...
Running MacOS Big Sur Version 11.7.10 (20G1427) and MailMate Version 1.14 (5937) I suddenly have the notification counter ever-present in the main menubar and it will not go away, even though it is disabled in preferences. I've tried the usual "turning it off and on again" approaches. But still it persists.
I'm not allowed to attach an image to this post, but here's a screengrab

This is an old user interface “bug”. The Counters interface is actually to configure 4 counters. You need to click on each of the buttons to the left to configure each of the counters to not have a menu counter.

Aha! —Thanks. I don't know how I managed to toggle one of those on, without realising it. All sorted now.
