Crash after typing signature separator

When quote-replying to a message received, and typing below the quote a sentence, my name and then (manually) the signature separator minus-minus-space ("-- "), Mailmate crashes for reproducibly after pressing the space bar.

Interestingly the crash depends on quote-replying (replying is not “enough”), and the general format of my answer (greeting, quote-reply, answer-sentence, signature-seperator).
