Delete sometimes moves emails to Inbox

I just purchased Mailmate and am using it to clean up my iCloud account. I am noticing an issue that appears to be either a bug or an issue with iCloud.

I am using the Mailing Lists smart mailbox to review emails and deleting unwanted ones. Sometimes instead of deleting them they are moved to the inbox. Once in the iCloud inbox attempting to delete them from Mailmate does nothing and I have to go into the iCloud web interface to delete them from the inbox.

Is this a known issue and is there a workaround?

    Just an update, just noticed the same behavior on a gmail account. Moved a message I attempted to delete to the gmail inbox, and does not allow me to delete it from the inbox using Mailmate - have to go to gmail web.

    This is not a known issue.

    Note that the mailboxes directly under Sources in the mailbox list are not inboxes. These are virtual mailboxes showing emails in all mailboxes within each IMAP account. I wonder if this might be related to the behavior you are seeing.

    Otherwise, try to see if you can reliably reproduce the issue. Then try with the latest test release: MailMate r6047. Finally, write me via Help > Send Feedback with the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
