Not able to sign-in with Google Workspace account.

Hi,

I am using MailMate without issue with my personal gmail accounts. However I am not able to connect my work email account, which is using Google Workspace.

Looking into this, it seems like Google Sync has been officially disabled for third-party apps that only require a password to sign-in.

It seems that they require the function 'sign-in with google' to use IMAP with third-party apps.

Perhaps this is the reason?

I love this app, however being able to use it for work account rather than personal email would be an important factor.

Are you aware of this issue and do you think there might be a solution for this in the future?

    Is probably not because the 'sign-in with google' function. As this seems actually implemented in MailMate.

    I have try using my work gmail account and load it into the Apple Mail app and it works fine, so it is not a restriction of the company.

    I have successfully added 3 gmail accounts into Mailmate but when I try to add the work email and click 'Search for Settings', it keeps rejecting it and is not able to add it.

    I have resolved this by 'configure manually account'.

    I did install the app Postbox to try connect the account and at the opening it gave me the information of the IMAP/SMPT Server and the Port numbers.

    I couldn't find this information in my gmail account.

    FYI, the IMAP server was set by default as imap.mycompanyname and not imap.gmail

    Sorry if this was a rookie problem but I got there at the end, this ticked can be closed.

    I'm glad you found the solution. You are welcome to send me your domain (via Help > Send Feedback) and I can try myself to see if MailMate should have been able to correctly derive these settings without manual configuration.
