MM r 6019 can't login to MS servers

On MM r6019 for Mac with OS Sonoma 14.2.1, I have setup 6 email accounts: 2 Google, 1 Apple, 3 Microsoft. The Google and Apple accounts work well. The 3 MS accounts are outlook.com, hotmail.com, and my employer's stanford.edu, which runs on the Office365 server.

Until September 23rd of 2023 all six accounts could login, send, and receive. But since then 2 of the MS server accounts can't login, so they accounts are default Offline.

The hotmail.com account can login and sync mail up to the present.

The outlook.com account cannot sync and attempting to sync generates a message appears saying:
"MailMate r6019 want to use mocrosoftonline.com to sign in. This allows the app and website to share information about you."

The stanford.edu account cannot sync and attempting to sync generates a message saying:
"Enter password for "thomasb5" at "outlook.office.365.com." Server response: A2 NO LOGIN failed: Command attempted A2 LOGIN ... Note: If you use two-step verification or two-factor authentication then you probably need an application specific password."

My employer has placed software on my computer that automatically runs the login process without me needing to manually insert username and password. I don't know if that also entails any two-step or two-factor steps. I've requested help from the employer's IT services but after one or two unsatisfactory responses, they've given up on my need, saying simply that they don't support MailMate.

I'm hoping to restore the previous fully functioning use of the outlook.com and stanford.edu accounts on this newer version of MailMate. Any help to that effect will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    I have made quarterly payments of $9.99 for a Patron subscription since 22 November 2021. The next such payment would be due within one week from today. However, I am not willing to continue making such payments if the software cannot fulfill its proper functions. So I have tentatively discontinued the Patron subscription. If the problem can be solved, I will renew the subscription. If it is necessary to renew the Patron subscription before my help request can be addressed, I will consider that. Thank you.

    I've forwarded an email I sent to you some time ago with some suggestions. Let me know if you have not received that (again) and I'll look into providing some suggestions here instead.

    Thanks for your patronage! Just let me know and I'll stop the patron subscription. You should most certainly not pay to support MailMate if it does not work for you.
