Column layout breaks when using Gmail hotkeys

I am using the latest release from the website (5937).
This is OK:
- start MailMate, inbox is open, "from" column is shown
- click on "sent", "to" column is shown
- click on inbox, "from" column is shown
This is not OK:
- start MailMate, inbox is open, "from" column is shown
- type
gtto go to sent messages, "to" column is shown - type
gito go to inbox, still "to" column is shown
