Unable to download beta

I keep getting a message "MailMate is running on a read-only file system and can therefore not be updated." I have completely cleared my download file and have made the mailmate file in apps read/write. What do you suggest?
I apparently need to download the most recent beta in order to use mailmate with my office365 accounts.

Here's a link to the latest release: r5926. Download it and then install it manually by overwriting your current install. This will not affect any of your settings.
