goToMailbox with smart mailbox

Reported by Justin Bradley | October 9th, 2022 @ 01:48 AM

I believe I've understood the manual in that I need to use the UUID of a smart mailbox to map a keyboard shortcut with a "goToMailbox:" command to navigate to that smart mailbox.

If I only used Mailmate on one machine this would be fine. But I use it with the exact same setup on multiple machines. However, the UUID of the smart mailbox changes (expectedly). Is there any way to create a common goToMailbox keybinding command that works across multiple machines with the same smart mailbox setup?

If not, I guess the only solution is to use a keybinding with the unique UUID of the smart mailbox on each machine?

    • State changed from “new” to “resolved”

If you quit MailMate and then edit the “Mailboxes.plist” file then you can change the UUID to be the same for smart mailbox. If you have the exact same setup of accounts then you can also copy this file from one machine to another (while MailMate is not running). There's unfortunately no automatic synchronization mechanisms.
