Can't move mails out of Junk
Reported by Chris D | September 9th, 2022 @ 07:37 AM
I have an issue that 2 of my mails are stuck in the Junk folder, and I can't get them out there.
Moving manually or selecting 'Move out of Junk' does not have any effect.
It's quite annoying as those 2 mails are very important, and I need to properly archive them, but I can't.

What happens when you try to move them?
What happens if you try to drag them to, for example, “Archive”?
What happens if you drag them out of MailMate to the Finder? (Can MailMate create standalone email files.)

I forgot to mention, those 2 mails were tagged in subject with [SPAM], this might have something to do with it.
- Moving them
When I move them to the mailbox they come from, nothing happens.
When I move them to another mailbox, they go there.
When I move them back to the original mailbox, they end up in Junk mail again. So I seem to be able to move it, just not into their original folder.- Drag to Archive
I can do that, that works.
- Drag to Finder
That also works, it creates a file there.

Sounds like something else might be moving the emails back. Either rules in MailMate or possibly a server spam filter (or rule). Does that ring a bell?

Oh my god. This is very embarrassing. Yes, it was a rule.
Thank you so much :)

- State changed from new to resolved
No problem. I'm glad it wasn't a bug :)
