Feature request: Markdown colours
Reported by James Cooksey | June 24th, 2022 @ 10:41 AM
I completely agree that plain text or simplified emails are infinitely cleaner than HTML nightmares. Font faces and the like are mostly unnecessary.
One thing that I do miss, is the opportunity to colour sections or lines where there are multiple repliers in quoted text.
Would it be possible to add a very simple colour tag, or a custom markdown tag system that I could surround items with a "" for a set of tags like [red][/red].
Many thanks,
James

I'll mark this as bluesky, but it doesn't mean this is completely unlikely to be supported. I still plan to offer the option of using custom Markdown converters for specific use cases and if any of those support colors then that might work for you.
It's not really something I would like to be receiving though ;-)

Thanks Benny. Is there any other way of inserting HTML tags at all?

I'm afraid not, but you are welcome to push me on the custom Markdown converters again in a few months (which implicitly also means allowing HTML tags within Markdown).
