Email threading
Reported by tomtjes | March 25th, 2022 @ 01:54 PM
I saw some similar tickets, but I think this is different. The popular forum software Discourse made changes to their Message-IDs and threading stopped working in MailMate but not other clients (I tested Preside, Roundcube and Horde).

The short answer is that Discourse is doing it wrong :(
The longer answer: MailMate is very strict about threading only showing parent-child relationships. If Discourse doesn't change behavior then this won't work unless MailMate implements a less strict mode of displaying threads (ignoring the lack of a parent message). This has been on the ToDo for a very long time (for various reasons), but it's unfortunately still not a feature of MailMate. I'll note to update this ticket when/if this changes.
