Not able to update from version r5871 on M1 Pro Macbook running Monterery 12.3 BETA
Reported by Sumit | March 8th, 2022 @ 01:02 PM
As soon as the new BETA build is downloaded using Option + Check for Update, the latest beta build is downloaded and installed. After that it crashes immediately.
Tried triggering the MailMate using the Terminal command: /Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate (found it from other tickets), results in the error:
2022-03-08 18:26:48.238 MailMate[35495:4805865] nil host used in
call to allowsSpecificHTTPSCertificateForHost
2022-03-08 18:26:48.238 MailMate[35495:4805865] nil host used in
call to allowsAnyHTTPSCertificateForHost:

CUIVectorGlyphMutator.m, line 242.

Downgrading it to version r5871 (downloaded the binary) works without any issues.
Any suggestions?

Could you send me a crash report via “Help > Send Feedback”? The assertion itself is not within MailMate code and I need more to be able to track it down.
Thanks for the report.

Sorry benny, just saw this reply. Do you mean the Help > Send Feedback from the version r5871, since no further updates are working till date.
Downloading the latest ones results in the immediate crash, while reverting back to the r5871 still works flawlessly.
Will wait for your revert and shall keep the track of the comments in the ticket for quick response.

Sorry about the late reply. So, r5872 was the first revision with this issue? (All test releases are available here: https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/)
And yes, just use r5871 to write me by email. I'm thinking this will require some back and forth-debugging to narrow down the issue.

Thanks for your reply.
I've shared the email from r5871: Help > Send Feedback. Hope this is helpful.
Shall await your revert.

- State changed from new to fixcommitted
An attempt to work around this issue has been added to the next test release (will be r5889+).
