Conditional Smart folder actions

Reported by Daniel Willitzer | January 24th, 2022 @ 03:37 PM

I would like to have template/training folders that when I drop an email into it if it doesn't already exist in a folder action that a script runs and adds the domain to that condition list.

Is that possible?

Example Google has a five-category inbox (Important, Social, Updates, Forum, Promotions).

In MailmMate I have set up smart folders that set on several conditions

Mailboxes (Any):
All Messages Mailbox_Name->Promotions (IMAP Mailbox Folder).

Conditions:
ANY: From->Domaincontainss example.com

    You need to do it slightly different. You need a mailbox (or smart mailbox based on some condition, e.g., a tag) which is essentially your list of emails representing the category. Let's name it “Promotion Senders”. Then create a smart mailbox (or rule if needed for that) with a condition like this:

    From > Address “is in” “Promotion Senders” From > Address

    This is a very flexible type of condition where the value of one header can be compared with a specific header of all emails in a different mailbox.

    I hope that makes sense.
