Redirect rule problem
Reported by Des Dougan | November 5th, 2021 @ 07:49 PM
I recently create a rule on one of my inboxes to redirect mail to my ticketing system. I've been tweaking it with Subject conditions to narrow down what is forwarded.
The condition is set to "Any" and contains items such as "if the subject does not contain "successful"" and "if the subject contains "cannot connect"" - if these are met, the rule fires.
I'm seeing messages redirected that do include "successful" in the subject so I am wondering if I am not creating them correctly? I have a screenshot of the total set up for the rule, but there is a message below here that says your upload quota has been reached.

The most likely explanation is that MailMate fails to correctly parse/index message text content. I'll need an example (as simple as possible) to reproduce it.
Please update to the latest test release first: Hold down the command key when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
You can use “Message > Reset...” on a message to imitate that it arrives in the Inbox again.
You can also create a smart mailbox with the same conditions as the rule to more easily debug whether or not it matches any messages.
You can use “Help > Send Feedback” to send me screenshots (or example emails -- just drag them into the message).

Benny,
Thanks for getting back to me. I was already on the latest beta; however, the smart mailbox suggestion was a real help - it let me see where I was going wrong with my rules logic. I think I have figured it out now.
