Mailmate Crashes on Open, No idea how to get it back up
Reported by Richard Rettke | March 26th, 2021 @ 01:21 AM
I was working away, not even in Mailmate (the public version,
not beta) and it just crashed. Since then it does it every time. I
downloaded it from the website, reinstalled, same issue.
What do I need to do to get it restarted. Do not want to lost
hundreds of smart folders etc.
macOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G8022)
I also tried the two terminal commands on the website and restarted but no change, did not rebuild anything that I could see.

Well, here in the USA it's now the 26th and it was the 25th when I posted this issue. Having thought about it overnight it seemed like it had to be a corrupted file. I did not expect any different result this morning then yesterday.
BUT, just for grins I launched MailMate and Voila‘, albeit the startup was slow it launched and so far has stayed up and functional. The only difference between the numerous attempts and crashes yesterday is it is a new day. How that plays into this I do not know but reading what I posted from the crash yesterday, it appears that LIBDISPATCH may have not liked the date-time combination from about 15:00 on the 25th until this morning. I am hopeful that it will stay up and running but my reliance on Mailmate and lack of having any sort of alternative setup has shaken me, something I need to work on. I will report back if the issue re-appears.

I got in touch with Benny and he emailed me a link to a test version that would indeed startup. It appeared to crash but captured the info and sent it to Benny and then stayed running. I am still running that version. I would recommend reaching out to Benny directly and refer to this ticket and any other on this issue you may have opened.
