Navigation keys don't work in new mail if shift is pressed (selection not working)

Hi,

I am pretty sure this worked at some point previously, but currently does not on my Macbook (Catalina 10.15.7)

Opt + Left/Right + Shift to mark text.

Is this an issue in Mailmate? It does work fine in Chrome and Safari.
