Feature request: Allow the usage/implementation of "Gmail Labels" also with other IMAP accounts that use this kind of implementation (e.g. Protonmail)

Other email providers also publish their labels as an imap folder (not just gmail).
E.g. Protonmail (https://protonmail.com) is publishing
labeled or tagged emails in imap folders in the following way:
Labels/<labelname>
So would it be possible to also allow the usage of folder based email provider labels to use it with other provider than gmail?
Possible implementation:
Users should be able to select which of their added imap accounts
support folder based labels and then there should be a column as in
Preferences->Tags not just for "Gmail label" but
basically a column for every previously selected imap account.
