I couldn't reproduce this. Does this happen for all types of attachments?
Was it in the message view or the composer?

Hi,
example:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/m50n67yvuozpe9l/mm%20attach.mov?dl=0
is reproducible in 5715 - maybe dragging on name rather than icon causes it?
Cheers,
Craig -

I have this exact same problem. 100% reproducible. Still present in 5718. I can click the "Download" or "Quick Look" buttons fine, but drag and drop causes a SPOD. I drag & drop a LOT of attachments, so I'm killing and restarting mailmate many times a day now when I forget. Happens in the viewer. I know it happens for PDF files; I think I've also seen it on a docx. It is not dragging from the name; I drag from the icon.
I do have the developer tools installed, but I'm 10 years out from using them for anything beyond python and make.

Craig: What is your macOS version?
I still cannot reproduce this issue (I've tried attached PDFs). Could one of you send me a hang report using “Help ▸ Send Feedback”? If possible, also send me an example email using drag'n'drop to attach it to the email. Thanks!

10.14.6
As Steve said still happening with 5718. Thanks.
(And unless it's a different Steve Dorner, your users have a fine email pedigree ;-) ) -

Since you are both on 10.14.6 then that might be related. @Craig: Could you send me a crash/hang report using “Help > Send Feedback”?

@benny - I grabbed you a sample with Activity Monitor and sent you the message in question. It will happen with any attachment and any message, so far as my forgetful fingers can tell.
@craig - I once said something like that to Douglas Adams. He said, "I'm sorry, but I'm not the plumber from Surrey; I'm an author."
