the new release 5672 does not synchronize with Exchange IMAP
Reported by Sebastian | September 2nd, 2020 @ 08:07 AM
After upgrading to Revision 5672 mailmate stopped synchronizing (some of?) my IMAP folders. I did not do much debugging because this is too dangerous. I went immediately back to 5634 since this is was the most recent older version still available via the download page. After downgrading the folders were immediately synced.

There's a known issue where sent signed/encrypted emails do not synchronize with the Sent Messages mailbox. If this is not your problem then please let me know! (I'm working on making another update to fix the known issue.)
You can use the previous public release instead of r5634: https://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5671.tbz

Yes, I sign mails by default, so it's probably the reason. Thanks!

Revision 5673 (Thursday, September 3, 2020) Fixed: Sent signed and/or encrypted messages were not uploaded to the Sent Messages mailbox.
Does that mean that those messages are lost or are they only stored locally? If they are stored locally, will MailMate upload them automatically?

@Lars: Yes, they should be uploaded now. You can check by enabling the UID column in the Sent Messages mailbox. Emails with a UID should exist on the server as well. Let me know if it does not work as expected.

@Lars: To be clear: Nothing has been lost. Previously sent and non-uploaded emails are going to be uploaded when using r5673.

Thank you, benny. I am running r5673 and have restarted it after installing, but the attached screenshot still shows a missing UID. What do I do?

@Lars: Argh, I wasn't thinking clearly on that one. Well, at least I've stopped the generation of more of these emails.
If your Drafts mailbox is empty then you can clear it up manually like this:
- Quit MailMate
-
Delete a few files using the following Terminal command:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/MailMate/Database.noindex/Headers/#draft-edition.*
-
Launch MailMate.
But I emphasize, your Drafts mailbox should be empty for this to not create new problems
I'll look into making this work without the above workaround.
