Attachments mis-saved and renamed using Save Attachments from email subject
Reported by David Vereschagin | July 6th, 2012 @ 03:28 PM
This is with build 2948.
An email is received with one or more attachments. Select the email in the list pane and choose Save Attachments… from the contextual menu. Navigate to the folder where the attachments should be saved. Instead of saving the attachments with their proper names inside the chosen folder, MailMate now:
1) Saves the attachments in the parent of the chosen folder.
2) Renames the attachments with the name of the chosen folder, appending a hyphen and a number to the new name.
E.g. the attachment to be saved is foobar.png, and the folder chosen is My Folder. The document will be saved in the parent of My Folder and renamed My Folder-1.png.

Correction to ticket #262:
The file name suffix will be dropped. An attempt to save foobar.jpg to My Folder will result in a document named My Folder-1 (no .jpg suffix) being saved in the parent folder of My Folder.

Thanks for reporting this. Your observations are correct. My fix for #261 created a new bug. That's what I get for being in a hurry. I'll get a new update out as soon as possible.
