Importing .mbox files into mailmate

Hi,
I have switched my e-mail application from Apple Mail to
Mailmate.
While using Apple Mail, I have been using a POP server. As Mailmate
server using IMAP, I have switched the settings.
As I am switching from POP to IMAP, the only way to receive an old email is to export .mbox files from Apple Mail and import them to MailMate.
Unfortunately, Mailmate allows me to choose the .mbox file and allow me to import but can't get any kind of result (like, importing mails / importing fails).
MAC OS: Mojave 10.14.6
Apple Mail: 12.4 (3445.104.11)
Mailmate: 1.13.1 (5671)
