Odd display artifacts when composing

When composing a message, if I go back up a couple lines from the bottom and start editing, the last line of the message sometimes vanishes from view, for up to a couple seconds.
This is intermittent. It seems to occur more often when going back and deleting old text at the top of a message I'm composing. I either see further down content disappear temporarily, or converseley, "ghost" images of text that's no longer really there. It's like the lower part of my view is just not being refreshed properly.
I'm running r5690, but this has been an issue since at least r5686

I think this has always been an issue to some extent, but it might have gotten worse.
How often do you see this? If it's very often then I might want you to also try triggering it in the new message view (which kind of also has a new composer although with the same type of text editor).

It's actually very intermittent, and I haven't seen it in a few days at least. I certainly do not have a recipe to reproduce it at will.
