Searching PDF, I miss from switching from Mail.App

I need better searching than Mail.App gives me (multiple keywords), so I tried Thunderbird (no better) and MailMate (awesome search for text).

Mail.app, extracted attachments and stored them in a directory along with the mail files. That permits Spotlight to search inside PDF files.

So the main barrier is I gain awesome searches, but lose searching inside PDF files.

I couldn't find a way to have it extra PDF files into my "Custom Location" directory?
How hard would this be to add? Does anyone have a bundle to search inside PDF?
