Mailmate hangs when adding first signature in preferences

Mailmate hangs and requires force quit when I try to add a signature
Preferences > Signatures > +
at this point neither Cancel nor OK will exit the dialog but OK does cause the signature to be added.

This occurs on my system, as well, every time I try to compose a signature. I'm testing the same MailMate version on an old MacBook running macOS El Capitan (10.11.6).

- State changed from “new” to “fixcommitted”
It'll be a while before I can release a new public release, but I believe this does work in the latest test release: Hold down the option key while clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane.
Let me know if that is not the case.

Alas, the latest public release crashes upon launch. So, no, the fix does not work.

A crash on launch sounds like a new (unrelated) bug. Could you send me a crash report using “Help > Send Feedback” or let me know what your contact string is in the General preferences pane (if you have enabled sending crash reports).
