Beachball spinning again for a long time upon hitting reply

Reported by Hans Tammen | April 7th, 2020 @ 04:54 PM

Hi Benny,

a while ago (a year?) I notified you of Mailmate taking a long time to respond when I wanted to reply to messages, or start a new message. You told me to turn off the toolbars, and for a while it seemed to help.

Now I'm back to waiting between 10 and 30 (!) seconds when I hit reply (I stopped the time). This has gradually worsened over the last two months, and I have no idea why. I'd say the beachball I've seen always, but if it's a second I don't realize it. With 30 seconds, though, it's obvious. ;-)

Mailmate Version 1.13.1 (5671), MacOS 10.14.1 (18B75), 3GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB RAM. Harddrive has 50GB free space. I think the last time I reported this issue I ran MacOS 10.13.

As for MailMate, I have two mail accounts running with just 8000 mails currently in it, as I save older stuff elsewhere. That said, Mailmate has been running fine with 20,000 emails in the past.

Let me know what you think, thanks!

Hans

Raaaah... I think I found it! If I disable the "Premailer (Python)" bundle it's back to 1 second when hitting reply. I'm fine if we forget the ticket now, I'll see how the software behaves, and get back to you if the delay gets worse again.

    Thanks, Hans
