Lost email
Reported by Gordon Svoboda | February 28th, 2020 @ 09:29 PM
I have three GMail accounts that I access through MailMate. Each account has a unique password. MailMate is the only common access connection between the accounts. This morning I opened MailMate and the complete inventories of emails in each account were wiped. This includes folders for storing messages, Sent messages, everything was gone, except what came in sometime over night. There is nothing in any folders via Gmail web access either.
Any ideas about this?
Kind Regards, Gordon

MailMate should be very careful about never deleting anything unless explicitly told to do so, but since MailMate seems to be what is shared between these accounts then we should certainly try to investigate what might have happened. In particular, I do not like the fact that you cannot find anything via Webmail.
What about the Trash mailboxes of the accounts? This is usually the first destination for anything deleted (especially for Gmail for which it can actually be difficult to delete something permanently).
Also, do you have a local Time Machine backup of your machine (or other backups)? If you do then find and make a copy of the most recent useful version of this folder:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Messages/
