Mailmate doesn't cope well with disappearing filters

The display of my "Inbox" is now blank, even though there are messages in it. I think I can outline how to reproduce this bug:
- Open a mailbox
- Double click on a message to put a filter on that mailbox view, so you only see messages from e.g. bob@example.com
- Go to mailbox->edit rules
- Create a rule that deletes messages that match your filter
- Apply that rule to all messages.
I believe the filter is still in place, but it's not shown in the UI -- so the mailbox looks empty and there's no way to clear the filter.
