Yahoo SMTP failures

I cannot send emails from my Yahoo email using Version 1.12.4 (5594).

I receive this error: Unexpected return code 535 (expected 235):
“5.7.0 (#AUTH005) Too many bad auth attempts.”.

Tip: Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0) before retrying. The SMTP log file might provide additional information.

I attempted to view the errors but nothing obvious stuck out to me. Please advise.

The “Too many bad auth attempts” error can probably only be solved by not trying to send something for a while (a few hours). You might need to delete emails in your Drafts folder or put them into edit mode (Message menu). After that, try this:
- Open the Activity Viewer (⌥⌘0).
- Try to send a message.
- Wait for it to fail.
- Use “Help ▸ Send Server Logs”.
Then I can see if I can spot anything in the logs.
